SCHOOL LEADER

Are you an aspiring or current school leader?

IPS’ Aspiring Leaders and Principal Residency programs offer career development support that also boost student achievement.

Join Team IPS and let’s prove what’s possible for our kids and community.

Aspiring Leaders

The Aspiring Leaders Program provides quality content, hands-on training, and mentorship and coaching to prepare high-potential IPS teachers and current assistant principals for future school leadership roles. Aspiring Leaders participate in a year-long cohort experience designed to develop school leadership skills. Successful participants are given strong consideration when administrator positions or temporary assignments become available.

IPS Principal Residency

The IPS Principal Residency is a yearlong paid opportunity for high-potential school leaders, including assistant principals and current principals, to learn and grow within their career in IPS. Principal Residents will receive job-embedded development support that prepares them to lead significant academic achievement in their schools. Residents will work alongside other IPS principals, receive professional development from district leadership, support school operations, and lead special projects all aimed at increasing student achievement.

Applications for upcoming Principal Residency cohorts will be housed on this page—please check back again.
