Meet Miss Murphy and Miss Dukes, two aspiring teachers currently in the process of becoming educators at IPS.
Their journey mirrors that of many in our district, including their teaching mentor, who started as a student teacher at Christian Park and is now a full-time educator here. This seamless transition from field experiences, to student teaching, to a full teaching role highlights the supportive and nurturing environment IPS provides. Miss Murphy and Miss Dukes are fortunate to learn from Ms. Gogel, a phenomenal mentor whose classroom feels like a loving family. This year has been their first real taste of classroom experience after two years of coursework and observation, and they are thrilled to be a part of this vibrant community. With two more semesters to go, they are eagerly anticipating their future as teachers.
